For this year, categories were for Best Large Garden and Best Hanging Basket Flowers and prizes were awarded to the first, second and third of each category. All winners were presented with a commemorative plaque and a bouquet of flowers at a cocktail reception at Kamares Club on April 27.

The focal point of the competition was Kamares Village which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary, an area which is home to an array of gardens, abundant flowers, flora and fauna. Kamares Village is situated adjacent to the historic monastery of Agios Neophytos near Tala village.

Kamares Village is an international community with over 1,200 home owners with facilities including a clubhouse, communal swimming pool, tennis courts and the Iasis Emergency Medical Centre.
