A conference and other events dedicated to the theme was organised by the Germany branch of Anglo-German travel and tourism company, TUI Group, in cooperation with Atlantica Hotels & Resorts and Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO).
Based at Atlantica Mare Village in Ayia Napa from May 03 – 06, the event was prompted by the start of chartered flights linking Cyprus with Germany and the boost in visitors this is anticipated to bring about.
TUI Group also recently revealed plans to significantly develop the German market from summer 2019, with focus on hotels belonging to the group, including Atlantica Hotels & Resorts.
As well as having the opportunity to experience some of what Cyprus can offer tourists at whatever time of year they visit, the 60 invited journalists and bloggers learnt more about coordinated efforts currently underway to encourage German-speakers to visit Cyprus.
They were also invited to dinners in their honour, one of which was addressed by Marek Andryszak, CEO, TUI Germany and Demetris Nicolaides, joint CEO, Atlantica Hotels & Resorts, and Angelos Loizou, chairman, CTO.
