Hermes Airports hosted the event, which is presented within the Cultural Programme of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union, highlighting the role of music as a bridge for cultural exchange and dialogue.
The choir and conductor presented an eclectic, diverse music programme, combining different musical periods and styles, ranging from Mozart, Brahms and Vivaldi to Michael Jackson, The Beatles and Coldplay, while also featuring Cypriot traditional music. Through this carefully curated repertoire, polyphony becomes a living expression of cultural coexistence and creative dialogue, showcasing how music functions as a universal language that connects people beyond borders and different cultures.
The selection of the airport by Avantgarde as the hosting venue is deliberate. Airports are places of transition, encounter and multicultural interaction, making them a particularly meaningful setting for an event that celebrates cultural dialogue and unity.
Through this initiative, Cyprus puts forward a message of optimism, culture and peace at a time when international developments continue to capture global attention.
