May 11 marked 20 years since the signing of the concession agreement between the Republic of Cyprus and Hermes Airports for the management of the international airports of Larnaca and Paphos—an agreement that ushered in a new era for the travel experience and for Cypriot tourism, leaving a strong imprint on the country’s broader economy.

On March 11 at 18:00, Larnaka International Airport transformed itself into a vibrant musical stage, where it welcomed the Ars Nova Youth Mixed Choir, under the direction of Iakovos Demetriou and accompanied on piano by Plotinos Mikromatis, as part of the Piano Tour initiative.

Wizz Air, one of Europe’s most sustainable and affordable airline, invites travellers to experience the magic of winter with easy access to some of Europe’s most budget-friendly and picturesque ski destinations. With several weekly connections from Larnaca, winter escapes to snowy landscapes, festive towns and alpine resorts are closer than ever this season.

The power of will, the beauty of diversity, and the spirit of perseverance officially ‘took off” on November 07 with the presentation of the ‘Yes I Can’ photo exhibition, featuring Cypriot Paralympic athletes, hosted at Larnaka International Airport.

A musical feast waited visitors at Larnaka Airport on September 27. In collaboration with Avantgarde, Hermes Airports celebrated World Tourism Day by hosting an original piano recital by internationally acclaimed pianist and composer Savvas Savva. The event is part of The Piano Tour, a cultural initiative that brings classical music everywhere.

A significant recognition has been added to the accolades of Larnaka International Airport. Larnaka Airport which is managed and operated by Hermes Airports was ‘Highly Commended’ in the ‘Best Airports in Europe’ Awards (five to 10 million passengers category) during the 35th Annual Congress and General Assembly of ACI Europe (Airports Council International Europe), which took place in Athens, on June 19 of this year.
