Roadwork Underway Near Limassol Castle

Roadwork is being carried out in the area between the entrance to Limassol’s Medieval Castle and Syntagmatos Square until July 30.

The works are part of the first phase of Transport, Communications and Works Ministry’s efforts to improve the road linking Franklin Roosevelt Avenue with Limassol’s beachfront road.

While the works are being carried out, traffic moving eastwards will be limited to one lane while traffic moving westwards is not anticipated to be affected.

Once this roadwork is complete, there will be two lanes of traffic in both directions in the area encompassing Ayia Thekli Street, the beachfront road and Siafi Street.

Apologising for any inconvenience caused, the ministry, Town Planning Department and Limassol Municipality reminded the public to follow instructions laid out by the police and temporary road signs.
