Municipalities Renew Cultural Mosaic Efforts

The municipalities of Paralimni, Ayia Napa, Sotira and Derynia recently presented their joint Cultural Mosaic programme aiming to help third country nationals  integrate into local society.

The previous two editions of the annual project were considered to have been great successes.

With the municipalities working with the company ENOROS Consulting, this edition is anticipated to be completed in March, 2019 with a budget of EUR126,466 which is 90 percent funded by the European Commission’s Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund with the remainder covered by local resources.

Kyriacos Ioakeim, chairman, committee, tenders, Paralimni Municipality, recently told reporters that the role played by the local authorities in the integration of third country nationals in Cypriot society included promoting social cohesion and creating more favourable conditions for the adjustment and social integration of third country nationals.
