Past-forward: Stavros Economou Unarchived is the first retrospective exhibition of the work of Stavros Economou, one of the most significant representatives of modern architecture in Cyprus.

Larnaka Tourism Board (LTB) and Larnaka Municipality are working towards the gradual creation of clusters in specific areas, as per the new global trend in tourism. As part of this larger plan the first improvement works at the ‘Larnaka Art Workshops Neighbourhood’ were recently presented.

The Cyprus Department of Antiquities, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announced the completion of the conservation and restoration of the Chalcolithic roundhouse replica at the site of Kissonerga-Mosfilia, in the Pafos District.

As one of the oldest cities in the world, Larnaca has a rich history of different civilisations that have left their mark on the region, including the Phoenicians. The long-awaited excavations of the ancient port of Kition in 2021, along with the city’s role in the Phoenicians' Route tourism project, will further enhance its link to the Phoenicians. 

April 18  was established in 1983 by UNESCO, as the International Day for Monuments and Sites, following a proposal by the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS).
