In a special event held on May 30 in the village of Vouni, in the presence of  Savvas Perdiou, deputy minister of tourism, Cyprus, as well as local authorities, tourism agencies and other officials,  the  first communities that secured the certification of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism ‘Colourful Villages’ (Coloured Villages of Cyprus) were awarded.

The Archaeological Museum of the Larnaca district has reopened following extensive renovations and offers a modern take on old treasures, including an impressive collection of rare sarcophagi.

Yiannis Karousos, minister of transport, communications & works, Cyprus, marked the completion of the upgrades at the Archaeological Museum of the Larnaka District during his visit to the fully renovated wings, and in the presence of the mayor of Larnaca, the presidents of Larnaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Larnaka Tourism Board, members of Parliament of the Larnaca and Ammochostos regions, as well as officers of the Department of Antiquities and members of the local media.

Larnaca Tourism Board has announced their cooperation with the owner company of the unique architectural and cultural heritage mansion of Larnaca, the Edem Traditional House.

Signed on January 20, the mayor of Limassol and A.N. Christou Properties & Construction Ltd. signed a contract for the construction works of the renovation of the historic centre of Agia Fyla.
