The July 08 Let us go to Kaimakli. We are adopting artists happening celebrated Kaimakli’s historic centre being made over and becoming more accessible.

The event was an initiative of Nicosia-based non-government organisation, Urban Gorillas, in cooperation with residents and the Youth Municipal Council.

Local artists were joined by ones from overseas to help turn Kaimakli into a centre for alternative culture and help residents showcase their beloved neighbourhood.

Homes were turned into temporary art galleries and opened up to the public as performances were put on in the streets.
