June Tourist Arrivals were Month’s Highest Ever

On the basis of the Statistical Service’s Passengers Survey, June had the highest volume of tourist arrivals ever recorded in Cyprus during the specific month, also contributing the highest ever number recorded in the first half of the year.

Specifically, tourist arrivals reached 511,073 in June this year compared to 472,450 in June 2017, recording an increase of 8.2 percent.

For the period of January – June tourist arrivals totalled 1,645,149 compared to 1,463,206 in the corresponding period of 2017, recording an increase of 12.4 percent and outnumbering the total arrivals ever recorded in Cyprus during the first six months of the year.

Tourist arrivals from the UK increased by 9.9 percent in June compared to June 2017 while an increase of 20.2 percent was recorded for tourists from Sweden.
