Central Nicosia Regeneration Contracts Signed

Contracts have been signed for the first phase of the regeneration of the central Nicosia commercial area created by the Makarios Avenue – Stasikratous Street – Evagorou Avenue triangle.

According to the contracts signed on August 01, the streets included in the first phase of the regeneration efforts are Stasikratous, Pringipissis De Tyras, Theophanis Theodotou and part of Mnasiadou.

The contracts were signed by Constantinos Yiorkadjis, mayor, Nicosia, on behalf of Nicosia Municipality and Iraklis Passadis and Stavros Theodosiou on behalf of the CYBARCO – A. Panayides consortium.

The start of works has been set for September 03 with co-funding secured from the European Structural and Investment Funds 2014-20. The budget for the first phase comes to EUR8 million with work anticipated to take around 16 months.
