Tourist arrivals from Israel increased by 24,8 percent this February compared to February 2019, while an increase of 85,3 percent was also recorded for tourists from Ukraine. Contrary to that, a decrease of 8,7 percent in tourist arrivals from the UK, 16,5 percent decrease from Greece and 13,7 percent from Russia were recorded.
The UK constitutes the main source of tourism for Cyprus for February, with a proportion of 32 percent, while arrivals from Greece comprise 9,5 percent of total arrivals, from Israel 9,4 percent and from Russia 7,6 percent.
For a percentage of 60,7 percent of tourists, the purpose of their trip in February was holidays, for 21,4 percent to visit friends and relatives and for 17,8 percent for business reasons.
