Study for Sustainable tourism Development and Identity of Polis Chrysochous and Tillyria Began

The Cyprus Ministry of Tourism announced that following a relevant international tender, in which consulting companies from Cyprus and abroad participated, the process of preparing the study for the sustainable tourism development of the wider area of Polis Chrysochous and Tillyria and for the establishment of its tourist identity has begun.

The study is conducted in the context of the vision and action plan of the National Tourism Strategy 2020-2030. The aim is to record the current situation in the region and, based on the challenges and opportunities that will be identified, to propose ways of tourism development and promotion, as a quality, sustainable, alternative and long-term tourist destination.

The results of the study and the recommendations of the experts, which are expected in about 12 months, will be used by the Ministry of Tourism, for their inclusion in the National Tourism Strategy.

This study falls within the broader plans of the ministry of state for development and promotion of areas that have not benefited from tourism so far.
