The increase is mainly attributed to the increase in the arrivals of tourists (288,6 percent) as well as to the increase in the return of residents of Cyprus (273,2 percent). Concerning the departures of travellers, an increase of 281,2 percent was recorded this October as compared to the corresponding month of 2020.

During the period of January – October, arrivals of travellers totalled 2,216,364 compared to 1,104,872 in the corresponding period of 2020, recording an increase of 100,6 percent. Concerning the departures of travellers during the specific period, an increase of 98,5 percent was also recorded.
