Increased Cyprus Revenue from Tourism Recorded in December 2024

Based on the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, Cyprus revenue from tourism reached EUR86,9 million in December 2024, recording an increase of 17 percent as compared to the corresponding month of 2023, (EUR74,3 million).

For the period of January – December 2024, revenue from tourism is estimated at EUR3.209,4 million compared to EUR2.990,6 million in the corresponding period of 2023, recording an increase of 7,3 percent.

The average expenditure per person was EUR 653,27 in December 2024 compared to EUR600,79 in December 2023, recording an increase of 8,7 percent. Tourists from the UK (the largest tourist market with 23,7 percent of the total tourists in December 2024) spent on average EUR64,12 per day, while tourists from Israel (the second largest market during the specific month with 17,4 percent of the total tourists) spent on average EUR162,55. Tourists from Poland (the third largest market with 9,4 percent), spent on average EUR72,17 per day.
