THE RUSSIAN FINANCIAL CRISIS WHICH ALSO RESULTED IN THE COLLAPSE OF TRANSAERO, 2015 PROVED ONE OF THE BEST YEARS FOR THE CYPRIOT TOURISM INDUSTRY, WITH INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS TOTALLING 2,659,405, UP 8.9 PERCENT YEAR-ON-YEAR.

According to Cyprus Tourism Organisation’s data, between April – October 2015, the island welcomed 2.28 million travellers, making the season the most successful summer ever for the sector.

In addition, the third quarter of 2015 went down in history as the best quarter of any year with 1.17 million visitors.
