With the island having welcomed 137,013 travellers in March, registering a 40.6 percent increase over the same month in 2015, prospects remain good for the year.

The growth comes on the heels of a satisfactory winter season, as between November 2015 and this March, some 438,000 tourists entered Cyprus, recording a 33.4 percent year-on-year surge. Compared to respective periods, the six-month results are the best of the last decade.

Additionally, in the first quarter of this year, visitor arrivals witnessed a year-on-year boost of 32.4 percent as almost all source markets presented positive changes.
