Fourth Honey and Beekeeping Festival of Rural Larnaca

The Fourth Honey and Beekeeping Festival of Rural Larnaca is due to soon take place on June 26, and its importance has been appreciated since the ancient times.

It was a key ingredient in the diet of ancient civilizations and it was used both for their nutrition and as an ingredient in medicines. Rich in nutrients, aroma and taste; honey should definitely be always included in our diet.

In an effort to revive the areas destroyed from the catastrophic fires in July of 2021, the honey villages of the rural region of Larnaca are preparing to honor this treasure of nature for the fourth time, with the Honey and Beekeeping Festival, which is hosted in the most rural village of the honey villages, the picturesque village of Odou.

The festival returns after a two-year gap due to the pandemic and the organisers promise that visitors will spend a wonderful day of joy and fun, dedicated exclusively to honey and its miraculous properties. They will learn about the bees and honey, and at the same time they will have the opportunity to try a wide range of products based on honey and other bee products (pollen, royal jelly, wax, propolis). Finally, those who visit the festival, will have the opportunity to get to know the beautiful village of Odou and discover its beauty and magic.

The Honey and Beekeeping Festival is attended by over 20 exhibitors offering Honey and products made from honey, from all over Cyprus, while there will be a huge range of Gastronomy, beauty and wellness products made from honey.
