The Cyprus Maritime Award will be one of the following:
- a) The Cyprus Maritime Personality Award or
- b) The Cyprus Shipping Industry Award
The Cyprus Maritime Personality Award is bestowed on an individual person and the Cyprus Shipping Industry Award is bestowed on a legal person, either of them every two years, during the Maritime Cyprus Conference by the President of the Republic, or the shipping deputy minister to the president, on behalf of the president.
The shipping deputy minister to the president has set up a selection committee for the Cyprus Maritime Award 2021, comprising representatives from the public and private sector of the Cyprus maritime community.
Nominations for the 2021 award must be submitted to the selection committee, through the permanent secretary of the Shipping Deputy Ministry, on the prescribed forms, by August 23 the latest.
