Eleni Loukaidou, deputy mayor, Nicosia, received the award from Zeta Emilianidou, labour, welfare and social insurance minister, Cyprus.

Loukaidou commented, “Equality between men and women both in the municipality and generally, is a fundamental right and value of democracy. Simultaneously, it is a prerequisite for growth, employment and social cohesion.”
