This historic area of the Turkish Cypriot quarter bridges Foinikoudes (Palm Tree) Promenade and Mckenzie Beach. The Piale Pasha coastal road is lined with old houses, restaurants, bars and cafes whilst the parallel old streets host the Larnaka Art Workshops Neighbourhood.  

Piale Pasha House Facades 

The facades of the traditional houses along Piale Pasha coastal road have been restored and painted in a Cypriot colour palette, bringing a bright and fresh look to the popular road whilst maintaining its unique and quaint charm and heritage. 

The houses are located opposite the glass-paned sea walkway that attracts walkers, joggers, dog walkers and cyclists for its panoramic sea views. The paths pass by the idyllic Psarolimano fishing harbour and the parade of ice-cream parlours flanking Kastella Beach, extending to the hip Mckenzie beach area.

Larnaka Tourism Board supported preparations for the project that is co-funded by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund 2014-2020, Larnaka Municipality, Larnaka & Famagusta Districts Development Agency and the Cyprus government. 

Mediterranean Park 

The new park square nestled in the streets of the Larnaka Art Workshops Neighbourhood is dedicated to the arts and has seen the creation of an elegant space with water features, benches and covered areas. The square further cements the identity of the area which began with the creation of a cluster of art workshops open to the public. The traditional streets are also included in the free guided walking tour that takes place every Wednesday.
