For the period of January – February of the current year, arrivals of tourists totalled 268.141 compared to 245.860 in the corresponding period of 2025, recording an increase of 9,1 percent.
Arrivals from the UK were the main source of tourism for this February, with a share of 19,3 percent (28.217) of total arrivals, followed by Poland with 18,4 percent (27.003), Israel with 12,6 percent (18.530), Greece with 9,3 percent (13.604) and Germany with 6,6 percent (9.723).
This February, 61,5 percent of tourists travelled for holidays, 21,6 percent visited friends and relatives, and 16,7 percent travelled for business purposes. Respectively, in February 2025, 60,3 percent of tourists visited Cyprus for holidays, 20,4 percent visited friends or relatives, and 19,1 percent visited Cyprus for business purposes.
A total of 152.198 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad this February compared to 124.232 in the corresponding month in 2025, recording an increase of 22,5 percent. The main countries from which residents of Cyprus returned this February were Greece with a share of 30,8 percent (46.902), the UK with 8,1percent (12.349), Italy with 4,2 percent (6.382) and Poland with 4,1percent (6.287).
