Cyprus Revenue from Tourism for May 2025 Announced

Based on the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism for Cyprus reached E|UR373,3 million in May of this yar, recording an increase of 20,2 percent as compared to the corresponding month of 2024 (EUR310,5 million). For the period of January – May 2025, revenue from tourism is estimated at EUR955,8 million compared to EUR751,2 million in the corresponding period of 2024, recording an increase of 27,2 percent.

The average expenditure per person was EUR779,08 in May of this year compared to EUR736,82 in May 2024, recording an increase of 5,7 percent.

Tourists from the UK (the largest tourist market with 37,4 percent of the total tourists in May 2025) spent on average EUR97,77 per day, while tourists from Israel (the second largest market during the specific month with 9,4 percent of the total tourists) spent on average EUR153,11. Tourists from Poland (the third largest market with 7,7 percent), spent on average EUR90,28 per day.
