Arrivals from the UK were the main source of tourism this April, with a share of 39,2 percent (118.742) of total arrivals, followed by Poland with 8,4 percent (25.371), Germany with 8 percent (24.178), Israel with 5,3 percent (15.997) and Greece with 4,7 percent (14.255).
For this April, 73 percent of tourists travelled for holidays, 17,7 percent visited friends and relatives, and 9,2 percent travelled for business purposes. Respectively, in April 2025, 80,3 percent of tourists visited Cyprus for holidays, 12,7 percent visited friends or relatives, and 6,9 percent visited Cyprus for business purposes.
Returns of Residents of Cyprus
A total of 164.357 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in April of this year compared to 164.844 in the corresponding month in 2025, recording a decrease of 0,3 percent.
The main countries from which residents of Cyprus returned this April were Greece with a share of 32,1 percent (52.837), the UK with 6,8 percent (11.219), Italy with 6 percent (9.841), and Romania with 4,2 percent (6.931).
The purpose of travel for the residents of Cyprus in April was mainly holidays, with a percentage of 74,7 percent, whilst business reasons held a percentage of 17,5 percent, studies 6,8 percent and other reasons 1 percent.
