Cyprus Tourist Arrivals and Returns of Residents from Abroad Announced for July

Cyprus arrivals of tourists reached 589.116 in this July compared to 551.229 in July 2024, recording an increase of 6,9 percent.

For the period of January – July of this year, arrivals of tourists totalled 2.432.129 compared to 2.203.704 in the corresponding period of 2024, recording an increase of 10,4 percent.

Arrivals from the UK were the main source of tourism for this July, with a share of 32,2 percent (189.730) of total arrivals, followed by Israel with 13 percent (76.557), Poland with 7,4 percent (43.713), Germany with 4 percent (23.694), Sweden with 3,5 percent (20.455) and Romania with 2,9 percent (17.000).

Returns of Residents of Cyprus a total number of 186.987 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in July of this year compared to 171.382 in the corresponding month in 2024, recording an increase of 9,1 percent.

The main countries from which residents of Cyprus returned this July were Greece with a share of 36,8 percent (68.858), the UK with 9,4 percent (17.518) and Italy with 5,9 percent (11.117).

The purpose of travel for the residents of Cyprus in July was mainly holidays, with a percentage of 75,1 percent, whilst business reasons held a percentage of 14,8 percent, studies 9,1 percent and other reasons 1 percent.
