They conveyed their heartfelt support to everyone else who is affected in one way or the other by the Coronavirus pandemic, especially the vulnerable groups.
As a result of the Coronavirus outbreak from over-tourism the island ended up having no tourism at all, and indeed, the tourism Industry will most likely never be the same.
CSTI said that it would be beneficial, however, to see the opportunity in this situation and start thinking about the post coronavirus era of Cyprus tourism. The Cyprus economy depends on tourism and we need to address the industry’s comeback in order to mitigate the negative economic and social impacts that will result due to this unprecedented pandemic.
CSTI is eager to work closely with the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and all parties involved, since sustainable tourism is now more important than ever and it needs to be on the top of every agenda of all the stakeholders including the government, the parliament and the private sector.
