Insights from the Road Trip Index were obtained by conducting in-depth research across 33 countries in Europe and ranking them according to 24 unique factors.

Cyprus seized the number four spot in this year’s ranking, scoring high on factors including quality of roads, toll free road network and road congestion level.

This summer, prices at the pump may be top of mind as we feel the effects of global inflation and a shortage of fuel. Kayak has prioritised this consideration in their Index, and have also added camping factors due to its recent popularity. Because these categories were added other and factors than last year’s Index, it’s not possible to compare the two indexes.
