The US hosted agents mainly specialise in wedding and romantic tourism, in conjunction with other specialised tourism departments such as wine and gastronomy, sports, cruise, adventure etc.
The familiarisation trip was combined with meetings as well as working meals with Cypriot tourism operators.
The said initiative was part of the annual wedding and romantic tourism plan to host professionals and colleagues from abroad, from existing and new markets, aiming to promote the destination and ‘packaging’ it accordingly for their clientele.
In the programme of tours, themed events and presentations, the partners had the opportunity to enrich their knowledge, network with Cypriot stakeholders and create content for the romantic event combo packages holiday ceremonies for couples and their family members. The Cyprus package can be combined with neighbouring destinations and/or cruises in the Eastern Mediterranean.
