Cyprus Revenue from Tourism for September Announced

Based on the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism for Cyprus reached EUR454,1 million in September of this year, recording an increase of 6 percent as compared to the corresponding month of 2023 (EUR428,4 million).

For the period of January – September, revenue from tourism is estimated at EUR 2.575,9 million compared to EUR2.456,1 million in the corresponding period of 2023, recording an increase of 4,9 percent.

The average expenditure per person was EUR891,29 this September compared to EUR 879,13 in September 2023, recording an increase of 1,4 percent.

Tourists from the UK (the largest tourist market with 35,5 percent of the total tourists in September) spent on average EUR112,35 per day, while tourists from Israel (the second largest market during the specific month with 10,7 percent of the total tourists) spent on average EUR150,63.

Tourists from Poland (the third largest market with 8,3 percent), spent on average EUR88,96 per day.
