Art Exhibition of 1946-1949 Jews in Cyprus

On November 17, an exhibition opening took place at the Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv, showcasing the artwork by Jews who had passed from Cyprus between the years 1946 – 1949.

The whole project was held under the support of the embassy of Cyprus in Tel Aviv and was symbolically sponsored by the government of Cyprus.

Highlighting the historic link between the Cypriots and the Jews after the Holocaust, the event mainly aimed to present an extensive artistic collection portraying the lives of the 54,000 survivors of the Holocaust which resided in the UK camps in Cyprus during the period 1946 – 1949.
