The 29th Famagusta District Multicultural/Interactive Children’s Festival was recently held to great success in Protaras’ Lefkolla Municipal Square.

Organised by Paralimni Municipality and Famagusta District Committee for the Protection and Welfare of the Child, the June 02 happening attracted hundreds of children and their families.

Young visitors participated in a range of games, sporting events and arts and crafts as children’s dance groups perform on stage.

The event was part of the local authorities’ Cultural Mosaic project in conjunction with Enoros Consulting and partly funded by the Republic of Cyprus’ Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund.

Its multicultural nature was evident in both the performance of Russian and Georgian dances and a booth where children from Cyprus, the Philippines and Syria created flags illustrating children’s rights.
