Taking place at Maschinenhaus-Kulturbrauerei, the event saw the group showing German audiences how traditional rembetiko music can be taken in a new direction.

The group creates a blend of rembetiko with musical influences from Latin America, Africa, psychedelia, rock and more.

The multinational and mostly youthful audience was reportedly very pleased with the result.

Having formed in 2005, Trio Tekke began cooperating with British Italian drummer Dave De Rose in 2015, taking their sound into a new direction.

The Cyprus Miniatures series was held in Berlin for the sixth time this year, organised by the Cultural Department of the Cypriot Embassy in Germany.
