Irish Television Crew Filming Episode in Larnaca

The production crew of popular Irish television travel series 'Téacs Taistil' were  in Larnaca filming an episode for Series 4 that will air on Irish television channel TG4 in April 2026.

Larnaca is one of the selected destinations for the new season, along with five other cities; Toronto, Chicago, Wisconsin, Rhodes and Bucharest. Larnaka Tourism Board assisted the crew with production planning for the Larnaca episode as part of actions to showcase both the city and the wider region.

The series targets a young, adventurous audience, aged 20–35, and combines cultural content with an engaging approach. The three presenters explore each destination through hands-on challenges and interactive tasks, offering viewers a fun and immersive experience. The destination’s visibility is further boosted by the widely followed social media accounts of each presenter.

The presenters are enjoying a variety of activities in Larnaca city and the rural communities that highlight the authenticity and diversity of the region, including boat rides, traditional Halloumi-making, wine tasting, museum visits, and water sports.

Chloe Tynan, assistant producer, said that they have felt very welcomed in Larnaca, "Everyone has been so friendly and accommodating and we've really been enjoying the attractions of Larnaka and the lovely weather. This is the first time we have visited, and it has been a great experience."

Local participation was a key element of the collaboration, and in line with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Larnaka Tourism Board and UCLan Cyprus, a student from the university’s media production programme assisted the production crew. Special thanks are also extended to Golden Bay Hotel for their generous support in hosting the production crew.
