On December 21, the Special School of Apostle Barnabas, dedicated to special needs children in Liopetri, was visited by Konstantinos Zannettos, president, Ayia Napa Youth Board, and other members of the board.

The Department of Antiquities of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, Cyprus, announced the results of this year's excavation season at Agios Sozomenos, within the framework of the Agios Sozomenos Survey and Excavation Project, under the direction of Despo Pilides, curator and antiquities, Department of Antiquities, Cyprus.

An event titled, Prepare the next generation of scientists and grow the local space industry; Cyprus is one of only 21 countries with research high level of SpaceOps, was organised by the Cyprus-US Chamber of Commerce and the Cyprus Young Professionals, in collaboration with the Cyprus Trade Centre in New York.

The Cyprus Tourism Organisation, in cooperation with Larnaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Larnaca Tourism Board successfully carried out workshops on December 12 with enterprises from the catering industry and with sales companies of local food products.

On December 10, a ceremony was held at the central square of Ayia Napa, during the city’s Christmas events, where Panayiotis Dais of Nireas Triathlon, granted the amount of EUR500,00 to Chryso Prodromou of Famagusta Autism Association, aiming to strengthen its work.

The 2017 season of archaeological excavations at the Bronze Age settlement of Kissonerga-Skalia near Paphos has ended however there are still areas of the final phase complex waiting to be revealed.
