Larnaka Tourism Board (LTB) organised its annual familiarisation trip on March 15 for personnel of Larnaca hotels, local travel agencies, tour guides and other employees within the tourism industry. The annual trip aims to acquaint participants with new points of interest added to the Larnaca region tourism product each year. 

The upgrades and improvement made to the existing beach volley and beach tennis courts at Foinikoudes (Palm Tree) Beach have been completed.

Significant conclusions and data regarding tourism in a digital era emerged from the presentations recently given at an informative event held by Larnaka Tourism Board (LTB) and MMC (Mediterranean Management Centre) in cooperation with the university UCLan Cyprus.

A sustainable action aimed at increasing both marine life and interest in diving in Larnaca region was implemented today by Larnaka Tourism Board through the submerging of amphorae at the natural reef located by the LEF1 wreck within the Larnaca Marine Protected Area (MPA) that was established by the Department of Fisheries and Marine Research in 2020.

The online competition of Larnaka Tourism Board and Cyprus Airways for a prize draw of five airline tickets was successfully completed, marking the airline’s five successful years of operation at Larnaka International Airport, and also providing the tourism board with the opportunity to highlight its advantageous characteristic of combining traditional and authentic areas and attractions with the modern, vibrant face of the city.

A pioneering initiative took place today in Larnaca with a guided tour specifically-designed for the visually impaired. The tour was jointly organised by the Larnaka Tourism Board (LTB), Youth Board of Cyprus (ONEK) and Larnaka Municipality, in cooperation with the Agios Varnavas School for the Blind.

The first ‘Gastronomic Creations with Halloumi’ event recently took place on May 05, organised by Larnaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and Larnaka Tourism Board (LTB) in cooperation with the Higher Hotel Institute, Cyprus (HHIC), the Cyprus Cheesemakers Association, and the Cyprus Chefs Association (CCA).

Larnaka Tourism Board is spearheading and sponsoring upgrades and initiatives across the region with exciting projects within the city and at several villages and communities for this year, aimed at improving facilities and leisure options. 

A series of innovative virtual projects for Larnaca region were presented on October 21 at an event held by Larnaca Tourism Board (LTB) and the Youth Board of Cyprus (ONEK), with the support of Larnaca Municipality and the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Tourism (DMT).

A tour of the new Multispace of Creativity and Culture (former Larnaka Club-Mattei House) for travel agents and tourist guides was organised on Sept 01 by Larnaka Tourism Board (LTB), Larnaka Municipality and the Association of Cyprus Travel Agents (ACTA), with the aim of encouraging tourist visits.
