Wizz Air, one of Europe’s fastest growing and greenest airline, recently announced a new route from Tel Aviv to Larnaca.

Due to the ongoing uncertainty and travel restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Jet2 has taken the decision to extend the suspension of flights and holidays up to and including March 25, of this year.

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the newest national airline of the UAE, on December 29, 2020 confirmed that Athens will be its inaugural destination, with flights from Abu Dhabi International Airport starting on January 15.  The airline is also to start flights from Abu Dhabi to Thessaloniki, starting on February 04.

Cyprus Airways announced the launch of ticket sales for winter 2020 – 2021. The winter schedule includes Athens and Heraklion, as well as the addition of a new route Moscow - Larnaca. The Cypriot airline is also planning to resume flights to Tel Aviv, as soon as the situation with Covid-19 stabilises.

Wizz Air, one of Europe’s greenest airline, recently announced a new base at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, which will be the second base for Wizz Air UK, the group’s UK-registered and based airline, alongside London Luton.

After an increased number of cases detected the last weeks to travellers returning from various parts of Greece, the Cyprus Ministry of Health announced that, after evaluation, Greece is classified in Category B with effect from August 06.

Starting June 21 of this year, Blue Air announced the reopening of regular flights from Cyprus on the following routes: Larnaca – Athens, Larnaca – Thessaloniki, and Larnaca - Bucharest.

Cyprus Airways announced its revised Summer 2020 flight schedule, after the announcement of the Cyprus government that Larnaca and Paphos airports will reopen on of June 09 of this year and based on the list of countries that government allows to operate flights from.

Ryanair's plans to return to 40 percent of normal flight schedules from  July 01 of this year, is a promising prospect for the aviation industry.
