The aim of the project was the social integration of third-country nationals residing in Cyprus. This was achieved through the development of social skills and the practice of such tools to help participants integrate into the host country. The session attendees included 172 people, 73 adults and 99 minors, who discussed issues such as racism, acceptance of diversity, gender equality, adaptation to changes as well as communication skills. The educational project also aimed to inform and raise awareness of the social life on the island and European Union overall.
Through experiential workshops and informal presentations, participants had the opportunity to link their own personal experiences to the messages they perceived during each training session. At the end of each meeting, trainers reflected on what was being discussed, as well as the emotions possibly caused by the themes that were often quite intense.
