The unemployed persons registered at the Cyprus District Labour Offices on the last day of December 2024, reached 12.382 persons.

Based on the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, Cyprus revenue from tourism reached EUR407,9 million in October 2024, recording an increase of 17,7 percent as compared to the corresponding month of 2023 (EUR 346,5 million).

The unemployed persons registered at Cyprus’ District Labour Offices on the last day of November of this year, reached 11.087 persons. Based on the seasonally adjusted data that show the trend of unemployment, the number of registered unemployed for this November reached 10.375 persons remaining at the same level in comparison to the previous month.

In July of this year, the consumer price of package holidays in the EU was 6.6 percent higher than in July 2023. The price of domestic holiday packages was up 11.1 percent, while international holiday packages saw a 5.7 percent increase.

The unemployed persons, registered at the Cyprus District Labour Offices on the last day of July of this year, reached 11.877 persons. Based on the seasonally adjusted data that show the trend of unemployment, the number of registered unemployed for July reached 11.109 persons remaining at the same level in comparison to the previous month.

The arrivals of tourists reached 482.261 in June of this year compared to 456.985 in June 2023, recording an increase of 5,5 percent. For the period of January – June, arrivals of tourists totalled 1.652.475 compared to 1.613.690 in the corresponding period of 2023, recording an increase of 2,4 percent.
