The success of the project was the result of collaborative efforts with Pafos Municipality and the Department of Fisheries and Marine Research.

This will enable the protection of biodiversity and Pafos Regional Board of Tourism will record and monitor marine life in the region while also showcasing the island's unique fauna and flora.

Featuring a rich marine life and being of archaeological interest, the area has achieved Blue Flag status and a Gold Quality Coast award.
