Larnaka Tourism Board made the improvements following calls improve the build environment around its tourist areas.

Architecture with little or no local character and colour, illegal building interventions and extensions, aesthetics, poor signage and other facilities that alter the area’s character were looked at when making the improvements.

CTO was among the institutions that financially supported Larnaka Tourism Board’s initiative.
