LTB: Solutions to Improve Tourism Services for People with Sensory Disabilities

The Larnaca Tourism Board (LTB) hosted and participated in a two-day meeting of the partners of the Erasmus+ programme ‘Tourism for People with Sensory Disabilities’ on July 08 and 09, at its premises in Larnaca town centre.

The project aims to develop satisfactory solutions for the provision of services offered to people with sensory disabilities by professional tourism organisations, encompassing blind, deaf and visually and audibly impaired people.

After research, it has become clear that our island lags behind both in relevant infrastructure and in the proper training of tourism industry personnel within this field. Through this programme, LTB hopes that satisfactory solutions will emerge for the upgrading of the quality of services aimed at this category of tourists.

Specialists in the project’s subject matter have been invited to participate in the meeting to offer their expertise, recommendations and feedback to better facilitate the project’s aims.
