The Cyprus Shipping Chamber welcomes the results of the newest ‘Ship Management Report’, published by the Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Cyprus, which covers the period January 01 – 30 June 30.

The Cyprus Shipping Chamber, as part of its continuous socio-economic contribution, donated to the ‘One Dream, One Wish’ charity organisation.

The European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA), representing the national shipowners’ associations of the European Union, held a board of directors meeting on October 04 in Brussels, where Themis Papadopoulos, president, Cyprus Shipping Chamber and Thomas A. Kazakos, represented the Cyprus Shipping Industry as part of the Cyprus delegation.

The Cyprus Shipping Chamber, as the official representative of the Cyprus Shipping Industry, paid tribute to World Maritime Day 2018, which has been established and celebrated by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) every year at the end of September, with a dedicated member’s meeting on September 24, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol.

The Cyprus Shipping Chamber organised with great success, its annual Charity Beach Volley Tournament, on September 08, 09, 16 and 23 at the Cyprus Volleyball Federation courts in Limassol.

The Cyprus Shipping Chamber was awarded the Green Offices eco-certification, by adopting environmentally sustainable working methods and solutions in the workplace and thus reducing the negative impact on the environment, remaining in this way committed to its corporate environmental responsibility.

As part of its corporate social responsibility, the Cyprus Shipping Chamber, donated the amount of EUR10,500 to the Cyprus Association for Children with Cancer and Related Diseases, One Dream One Wish.

The Cyprus Shipping Chamber has welcomed the decision of the council of ministers to support the formation of the Cyprus Foundation of the Sea (FOS).
