The Larnaca-Dhekelia road is one of the most important infrastructure projects that greatly affect the tourism industry of the Larnaca Region and as it is known, its construction has been pending for over 30 years.

This year is set to be a landmark for the Larnaca region as 2020 sees the completion of many, major projects that are set to upgrade facilities, services, infrastructure and leisure options, with additional projects also commencing.

Larnaca Tourism Board was awarded at this year's Cyprus Tourism Awards in the Strategy and Innovation section and specifically in the category o Initiatives to extend the tourist season and enrich the tourist product.

A recent meeting was held between the board of directors the Tourism Development and Promotion Board of Larnaca and the general manager of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works and the director of the Department of Antiquities.

The Cyprus Tourism Organisation, in cooperation with Larnaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Larnaca Tourism Board successfully carried out workshops on December 12 with enterprises from the catering industry and with sales companies of local food products.
